If you are feeling creative then why not make your own crackers this year?
    1. Centre a toilet tissue roll lengthwise along a 10" side of the 8 x 10" piece of recycled paper. Wrap the paper around the roll, securing it with 1 or 2 pieces of transparent tape. (The tape can be attached to the underside of the paper so that it does not show).
    2. Insert snapper (available from most craft shops) and gift into the roll. The ends of the snapper should extend beyond the ends of the cracker.
    3. Tie each end of cracker with string.
    4. To make the fringe, take an 8 x 5" piece of crepe/tissue paper and fold in half lengthwise. Cut 1" deep slashes about _" apart along unfolded edges. Repeat with second piece of 8 x 5" crepe paper.
    5. Take about 12" of decorative string (gold, silver, etc.) and place along inside fold of fringe. Gather and tie around end of cracker, over first tie. Repeat with other end, using second fringe. Ends of fringes may be curled gently.
    6. Decorative trims, lace, ribbons etc. may be used to decorate the body of the cracker.

Our beautiful, handmade eco crackers have returned and are already proving to be as popular as ever! The lovely crackers are made from handmade seed paper, which after use can be planted to provide a lovely bloom of wild flowers... rather than waste in your dustbin! The fair trade and recycled Christmas wreath!

This ever so popular wreath is made from recycled materials by a small co-operative in Africa. The cost of the wreath goes directly to the co-operative which helps local families and artisans. There’s no better time of year to give than at Christmas!

    Fair Trade Christmas Stocking

A lovely felt fair trade stocking, made in India by a women's co-operative. Made by a charitable organization established in the year 1968. The organisation started by training less privileged and unskilled women in Mumbai to stitch sari petticoats. Since then they have helped many women to develop skills and earn a regular income; this has changed their lives and the lives of their families.
